Please join me in prayer anyway :) Today, please read page 186 about Stations of the Cross, the Rosary, and about what the church teaches about devotions and how they are related to the Liturgy (we talked about this during Zoom Meeting). After reading, I'd like you to begin a short project that will be due on Thursday. I am assigning you one Mystery of the Rosary. Please compose a reflection for that mystery on one side and the picture that goes with the mystery on the other. Please do not cut and paste pictures. Draw your own. You should type your reflections. I am attaching a MS Word document you can use as a template. It's good to keep in mind your audience. Pretend you are writing for third graders that are preparing for their First Holy Communion. So your reflections need to be kid-friendly. Please make sure you are concentrating on the assigned mystery. For example, let's say your mystery is 3rd Sorrowful Mystery - Crowning with Thorns - what would you tell a child about that mystery? Perhaps you'd say, Jesus suffered when soldiers placed a crown made of thorns on his head. He was bleeding. It hurt him. In this mystery we want to pray especially for those who are hurting in any way. Do your best - an by best I mean put your best effort. You can email it to me when finished or save it in Google Drive. You should type your reflections unless you do not have computer. Due Thursday. But please read page 186 today!!!!

Due to some difficulties live streaming of morning prayer is postponed until 12 NOON - Today!!! Yesterday, at the zoom meeting, we discussed mendicant orders that developed in the Middle Ages. Today, I would like you to complete a small research about the mendicant orders. Below, please find an attachment of a graphic organizer. Please research the four major mendicant orders and fill in the information in the table. I am attaching a PDF file so you can see the table - you can copy it on paper and hand write your answers or MS Word Document - you can type in the information directly in the document. Either way is fine. You have two days to complete this research. Due Friday.

As Christians we should always have an attitude of gratitude. There are many people working tirelessly with Covid19 patients - doctors, nurses, physician assistants, nurses assistants, medical assistants, paramedics, lab technicians. I would like to create a video showing our appreciation for their hard work. I would like to ask you to create a picture with a thank you message to our medical personnel workers in our state and other places. Use white 8.5 by 11 printing paper (or use whatever you have). Put your best effort in creating your thank you card. Do not fold the paper. Use the entire page. Then take a clear picture of your work and send it to me. This will be due Friday, but you can send it to me at any time before that. |
